The Bereaving Siblings Foundation is a nonprofit organization that diligently reaches out to the youth and young adults of all ethnicities throughout the great state of Louisiana who have tragically lost blood brothers and sisters to sudden death. For example: car accidents, murder, suicide, drug overdose, human disease, heart attacks, drownings, etc.
This organization facilitates various workshops, rallies, camp retreats, tutorial sessions and counseling sessions, to help each sibling (s) cope with life and the many challenges that they may face during the grieving process, which in most cases may last a lifetime. With the guidance of community leaders such as: ministers, educators, politicians, business professionals, social workers and many others, these siblings learn skills to become better scholastic achievers, better children for their parents, professionals and better citizens in their communities. All profits and proceeds from fund raising efforts circulate within this organization to expand our outreach efforts; also, to provide academic scholarships and donations to those in need.
Our vision and prayer is that we expand this organization worldwide. There are millions of young people across our great nation who are hurting and dealing with the loss of a loved one(s) and are feeling alone . We, The Bereaving Siblings Foundation want to extend that helping hand to help guide them through their long journey of bereavement.
